Image reserves

  IDOL

    To access the IDOL database the general public may use the following user name and password:

         User name: nysid-public
         Password: public

    NYSID students will want to use the student user name and password, as they are necessary for accessing
    the IDOL Teaching Collection.  To retrieve the student user name and password, follow this link:

     You will need your individual student ID (from your ID card) and password (assigned by the Technology Services
     Department) to access this page (see below, Accessing Course Image Reserves and Connecting from Home).

     Note: Pop-up blockers must be disabled to access IDOL.  To allow pop-ups, go to the Tools menu in Microsoft
     Internet Explorer and click on turn off pop-up blockers.

  Accessing Course Image Reserves

    To access the online Course Image Reserves, follow this link:

     A dialog box will appear asking for your User name; this will be the number from the front of your Student ID Card.
     This will be followed by a line for your Password; this is a unique word assigned to you by the Technology Services
     Department, located on the mezzanine of the 70th Street Building.

  Connecting from Home

    Many of the links to outside subscription resources on the library homepage work only on campus (access is
     through I.P. recognition).  However, most of these resources can be accessed remotely through username and
     password authentication.  To do so you must log into the NYSID Intranet by following this link:

         Connect from Home

     A dialog box will appear asking for your User name; this will be the number from the front of your Student ID Card.
